Fresno County has one of the lower marriage license fees among the large California counties we track, and requires an in-person visit with an optional scheduled appointment.

License fee Regular marriage license: $49. Confidential marriage license: $69.
Waiting period None — California has no statewide waiting period.
Documents / ID required Driver’s license for both applicants; if unavailable, a certified copy of birth certificate plus another photo ID.
License validity 90 days from the date of issuance (California statewide rule).

Office hours 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday (closed for lunch).
